Rangers forward Michael O’Halloran set for Melbourne City move
wwwpic5678Glasgow Rangers forward Michael O’Halloran, who has failed to make an impact at Ibrox, is reportedly wanted by Melbourne City. Rangers forward Michael O’Halloran is set to leave the Ibrox club and join Melbourne City in the A-League, according to The Scottish Sun.
It has been reported that City manager Warren Joyce is keen on signing O’Halloran from Rangers in the summer transfer window. Talks between Rangers and the A-League club over a permanent transfer have opened, according to the report.
wwwpic5678 O’Halloran has been on the books of Rangers since February 2016 when he joined from St Johnstone for a transfer fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £500,000. It was then Ibrox manager Mark Warburton who brought the forward to the Scottish Premiership giants, but the 27-year-old has failed to make a massive impact for the Gers.
It would make sense for the former Scotland Under-21 international forward to leave Rangers on a permanent deal in the summer transfer window, as it has not worked for the former Bolton Wanderers prospect at Ibrox and he is unlikely to get much playing time under new Gers’ manager Steven Gerrard. wwwpic5678
